Ochinko is a definite. Blue Jays transactions showed his signing yesterday. As the Advocate article stated, I would imagine he'd head to the GCL team in Rookie ball.

Congrats to Sean and Jared.

I moved him already, I may move Brett Bruening to the possibly gone category because the rumor is that if he keeps impressing in the Cape league the Yankees may pay him enough to pass up LSU.

i say theres no way spencer matthews is on the team next year

Mathews will be there. LSU will have 1, maybe 2 available slots for him.

he's pretty bad though
but he's a walk-on, and with the new scholarship rules there has to be at most 27 guys on aid, meaning 8 walk-ons.

Possible starting lineup?? 3B is still in the air.
1. Leon Landry, LF
2. Johnny Dishon, RF
3. Blake Dean, 1B
4. Kyle Koeneman, DH
5. Micah Gibbs, C
6. Mikie Mahtook, CF
7. Grant Dozar, 3B
8. Tyler Hanover, 2B
9. Austin Nola, SS
Who knows really. Mainieri could shake all this up.

he'll be a senior in high school next year, so he doesn't fit anywhere right now.

He's an early entry, so he can play if he wanted too, see UNC.

you have a link to that? I haven't seen that anywhere. I also wouldn't think he would enroll early because he would automatically make himself ineligible for the 2010 draft, and I don't think his decision on playing college football and baseball is really final until he sees where he would be drafted.

Updated with link to news of Bruening being released from Letter of Intent. He will not be joining the Tigers in the fall regardless of whether he signs with the Yankees or not.
Bruening link also mentions the two players signed from LSUE and that Mitch Mormann will definitely be coming to campus.

If we only lose Stang and Bruening and Heathcott, I would consider that a success. I knew we would get Heathcott and only losing two jucos isn't bad at all. It has been the freshman that have played so well since PM has arrived. I just hope we can get Colvin and ZVR. With them two and Ranaudo and Matty Ott and perhaps Chad Jones, our pitching shouldn't drop off too much. I know it will be hard to replace Coleman though.
