He had some nice passes and drives otherwise and we dropped a few passes (he needs to work on his long ball though). He got zero help from the running game or O-line

bottom line is we’ve seen what the kid can do when the line does its job. can’t take what he did vs SC away from him. o line needs to get its shite together

I actually wouldn't even mind this install about 4 or 5 plays and just run them over and over.

Only problem is this team is soft and would still get pushed around

Hadn't Auburn pulled the starters by the time the 4th quarter started???

Well first off obviously his superior speed and second that he can improvise when a play breaks down and lastly he is pretty well adept at throwing on the run. Again, this is nothing against TJ it’s just obvious who has the better natural tools to deal with a defense running over our OL like they were on coffee break.

I mean...
He’s faster. Is he that much better?

Eh.

Nobody says he’s better but like you said, he’s faster. That matters when you’re line can’t block.

LSU needs to be a little more creative in their run game

Max was in before the fourth quarter. He threw the same number of passes as TJ, completed two more for 29 more yards, and a TD, and without two picks and a fumbled scoop and score.

No one can say for sure whether one will eventually be better than the other, but on Saturday Max was the better QB.

He threw a lot of passes against Auburn backups.
