To those complaining about the stadium not being full.... I literallly couldn’t give my extra ticket away for free.

You all bitch and moan like it’s the ticket holders’ faults when the reality is that there just isn’t the same kind of demand for tickets like there used to be. Couple that with excess supply, difficulties tailgating/parking due to new rules and 4hr+games, it’s no surprise that people are showing up.

In case you are still worried, Tiger Stadium will be packed for the high demand games: Georgia and Bama.

Honestly fed up with the debate... but there’s my $ .02. Downvote away

Georgia and Bama.
Willing to bet that there will be a decent amount of fans that leave at halftime for these games, too.

There is a culture of leaving at halftime now.

Culture of fans sitting in the comfort of their own home while spamming forums about why there aren’t more fans in the stadium at 11pm?

If left at halftime last night. For one reason and one reason only....my balls had been wet for 7+ hours. I was tired of being wet. Plain and simple.

Boudreaux’s has everything fixed up today. In case you were wondering.

Yeah, I'm sure changing capacity had no influence on any of this or the perception thereof.

1924 – 12,000
1935 – 22,000
1936 – 46,000
1953 – 67,720
1978 – 78,000
1988 – 80,150
1994 – 80,000
2000 – 92,000
2006 – 92,400
2014 – 102,321

It won't be as many as usual (probably), but you are correct, there will be fans that leave at halftime of those games too.

They have a right to do it, but I don't understand it. I understand making the decision to stay home and watch from the comfort of your fancy, high-tech media room. I don't understand going to all of the trouble and expense to actually go to the game and then leaving at halftime.

What's wrong with LSU's fanbase:

Tailgating is more valuable to LSU fans than the second half.

This is what ticks me off about the situation! The people that is complaining about it are probably the ones that are sitting on the couch at home!!

All true. Plus, every game is on TV now. In prior decades if you wanted to see the game you had to go to the game.....and stay till the end just in case something crazy happened. You didn't have Sports Center to catch you up on the parts you missed.

In spite of that (or maybe because of that) 70's, 80's and 90's fans > modern day fans.

The access to the game on TV exist now. Not so much in those times. Couch much more comfortable without having to deal with cramped stadium seats. I personally like going to the games once or twice a year. Sometimes the hassle isn’t worth the comfort at home.

The "real fans have been priced out" narrative on here is also just so ridiculous. You could have got a seat for $25 dollars last night. What do you want, $5 tickets?

I was there last night also and noticed the holes.
People just didn’t seem as into the game.
Then maybe 1 minute before the 1/2 when Ole Miss was in the redzone the rain went from light trickles to light consistent rain.
People started leaving.

I don’t know what hurt the attendance.
1. Late game
2. Light rain
3. Ole Miss was not a strong opponent.
