That weekend:
French Quarter Festival
Cajun Hot Sauce Festival
Bayou Teche Bear Fest
Lockport Food Festival
Potpourri Festival
Plus its also the best weekend to have a crawfish boil due to being the week after the high prices of good friday.

So which one is going to pull hundreds of thousands of Tiger fans to it? I've never heard of 4 of those.

This is what it boils down to more than anything else. It just isn't football season right now, so alot of people don't care to watch football practice. If the first fall scrimmage was held in Tiger Stadium, and they opened this up to the public, then the turnout would be much higher.

It boils down to LSU fans being crappy fans. That is why ESPN is going to BAMA to film our spring game and not to LSU (which will be great pub for Bama and will be a great recruting tool)
You can call LSU fans alot of things...crappy fan isn't one of them. Not going to football practice doesn't make a fan crappy.
No recruit is going to make a decision because he realizes that during the last practice of the spring, there will 90,000 people watching him run 7 on 7 drills instead of 25,000 at the other school. And, there is alot going on in Florida, but there also happens to be alot more people in Florida too. It's not an apples to apples comparison.

Correction- It's always football season!
So, that's why Bama sucks in basketball and baseball, too...they always think it's football season.

naw its actually baseball season right now. If bama had a team worth a shite besides football yall might realize other sports exist.
im still not paying a dollar to watch a practice. that is all a spring game is. If we played some other school for a spring game i might consider going

Well French Quarter Fest alone pulled 435K people last year.
Festivals in Louisiana generally will pull 25-50K.

You cant be serious... Our Football team is shite?? You have one good season in the last 5 years while we win TWO National Championships and OUR team is shite?
In case you missed it our baseball team has ALWAYS been at the top in attendance and is pretty damn good and we just won the SEC in Basketball this year.

It's mid April. Unlike T-Looserville, where the ONLY thing that goes on year round is football, there are many, many other things going on in Louisiana this time of the year.
The French Quarter Festival happens to be on April 18th. I live in BR and would rather go to NOLA than watch my Tigers play my Tigers.

There is no reason why the LSU Athletic Dept can't put on a real game to put arses in the seats. Why can't they have an actual game with the 2009 team playing a team composed of LSU football alumni? They did it in basketball this year, why not football?
I guess Miles would be too worried about a serious injury taking place in a real game like that, but I'd sure like to see it happen.....

French Quarter Fest is huge, pulls in about 4 or 5 times as many people as what tiger stadium can hold.
Also, spring games under Miles aren't that exciting, its usually not a game at all, but situational downs. Not fun to watch, but good for the team.
