USF beat Syracuse by 21. Does that mean that USF is better than Syracuse?

Makes 0 sense. There is no logical reason to put Bama #4. It validates that the committee is either biased or manipulates their rankings to generate TV ratings.

The Bama bias I just a fringe benefit.

And shut the Media obsession down as well. But they will figure some way to get a 2 loss Bama team into the playoffs in the end. You watch.

would not shock me in the least. If it were to happen, you would hear the media saying "just look at them on the field, the most talented team in college football....if you want to put the best 4 teams on the field, then you HAVE to put Bama" and...they lost a FLUKE game to Ole Miss, committing 5 turnovers...if they played 10 times, Bama would beat OM 9 out of 10......and there is no shame to barely losing to the top team in the nation (LSU)......They will be spinning hard should bama end with 2 losses.

The funniest thing is, it would be in the purely selfish interests of LSU fans to have Bama ranked as high as possible at the time we play them.

Yeah, I get that, and agree with the logic in principle - but it does get old to see them given the benefit doubt time and time again over other teams.

At the end of the day, both rankings are fairly meaningless at this point. All about the hype

yahoo, too!

Playoff committee shows brand-name bias still in full effect with flawed first rankings
