Why do you only qualify a class by its offense and defense?
Miles got all Americans on defense, but his offensive prospects provided a high bust rate.

Not abnormal
The 2016 class was similar.

They had that many leave in the first 12 months? Well then surely you have a link to that newsworthy story from Delly or Ron Higgins.
Or you’re just being disingenuous again and LSUs 2016 class lost that many over the course of 3 years, not 12 months.
Tomato, tomato.

As opposed to O’s first class where players on BOTH sides of the ball are entering the portal.
Cool!
Cool!

Okay, what does that have to do with O’s weak 2018 class? At some point trying to deflect to Miles won’t work anymore and that time approaches with each passing day.

If you’re comparing, which you Miles apologists love to do, 2018 is still better offensively.
Wire is a contributor
Chase is a starter
Many believe Rosenthal will grab a tackle spot this year
Marshall figures to be a huge contributor this year
Lewis is a starter
Hines is a starter
That’s one class of true freshmen (and a juco).
2016 classes produced Cushenberry as a starter. The three WRs are contributors but are behind Jefferson and Chase.
2015 provided Moreau and Brossette.

What’s a Miles apologist? I assume someone who makes excuses for why winning the SEC West, SEC, and National Championship are good things?

You posters that make everything a comparison to Miles and then romanticize his last years at LSU.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA
it’s the O fanbois who introduce Les into these threads, because their entire posturing is “well at least O saved the program from Miles’ implosion” (where he won 27 games from 2013-15 and it really should be 28, unless you think Miles was gonna lose to McNeese.)

Wire is not a contributor.
Chase is not a starter.
No one believes Dare is beating out Deculus or Traore.
Hines is not a starter when Ingram returns.
Again, 2016 had 9 offensive players, 8 when you flip Devin White from RB to LB. you are either being disingenuous, or straight up lying.

You still think Miles should be the coach.... that explains a lot.....
Posted on 6/22/19 at 11:05 am to dukke v
I haven’t seen anywhere where he said that.
I’ve seen him use statistics to show how O hasn’t made any marked improvement since his arrival. I don’t think that means he thinks Miles should still be coaching.

You are not reading between the lines..... yes he still wishes Miles was coaching here..... and no matter how great O may do here he will look for anything to cut him down instead of praising him..... he NOT an LSU fan.

quote:these comments always crack me up. People bitching about a team/player/coach being ranked "too high" yet fail to offer an alternative.
Fisher is not the third best coach in the country. Neither is Kirby Smart this high either.
The funniest is when they single out 10 that are ranked "too high" then only 2 or three that are "too low."
You can make a case of why Jimbo shouldn't be at #3, but I'll make a better case for why who you think is #3 shouldn't be.

Yes you do...... and I’ve asked this before with know answer..... should O be fired TODAY???? Just because YOU don’t like him..... give me an answer......
Posted on 6/22/19 at 11:47 am to dukke v
Did I want Miles fired? Yes, at the end of 2015.
Did I want O hired? Hell no.
Would I prefer O to be replaced today? Yes.
Should O be fired today? Probably not. The answer will come after this season. Less than 10 wins in the regular season and yes he should be fired.

although Miles got fired going 9-3, it won't get O fired.
but it would put O on the hottest seat in America going into 2020.
