I’ll tell you what was ugly.
That motley crew of teams LSU faced after Troy.
A Florida team that finished below .500
An ole miss team with an interim coach
An Arkansas team with a dead coach walking
A Tennessee team with an interim coach
An aggies team with a dead coach walking.
That auburn win was good though. Props on that.

Any poll that has Jimbo Fisher as the 3rd best coach in America is a crap poll. He's a good coach, no doubt. But 3rd best in the country? We'll have to wait and see after a few years of him in the SEC to see how valid that is.
What has Jimbo accomplished that would separate him from Les Miles?
He has a better Win% but his HC career is mostly all ACC.

The question about whether O inherited the same situation as Les? The answer of course is no. No two coaches inherit the same situation.
One could argue O was afforded a better situation to inherit, though. He had the opportunity to put his imprint on the program for 8 games in 2016 before taking the reins. Even before that, his finger prints were on the program as recruiting coordinator. Further, due to the relatively seamless transition from interim to full time coach where much of the staff was kept intact, O also inherited, and of course was instrumental in helping to sign, a far better first recruiting class than Les, who was forced to try and throw a class together after Saban bolted in December of 2004. Like Les, O inherited a roster that was stacked with talent. However, unlike Les, O had the benefit of inheriting one of the best assistant coaches in the college game in Aranda.

To add to that point, LSU was only in a position to fire Miles because of the program’s stature, which it did not have in January 2005, as opposed to 2016.

It’s been answered at least twice now by other posters, and you’re still a fake.

No. No he didn't.
Of course he didn't. But for some reason, I took that guys post as sarcasm.

Does that matter? Rick said o inherited an nfl qb in Etling.
Rickdaddy's post:

Etling is still on the Patriots roster. What Rick said is correct. I don't what the problem could be.

Miles also had most of his success before the saban dynasty at bama was forged.
Posted on 6/13/19 at 5:00 pm to earl keese
He is not on the 54 man roster
Posted on 6/13/19 at 5:05 pm to Nawlinsboyinbossier
Yeah so I guess all those other top 25 teams he played don't count.
Where do you people come up with this stuff?
You think Miles was just racking up wins against cream puffs from 05-07 just because saban was failing in Miami?

its true....that this is a misconception lol.
What Dave Aranda ACTUALLY said is that this team had more kickers than INSIDE linebackers.
just to finally set the record straight on that once and for all.

Alrighty then. My mistake. I went to the "Official website of the New England Patriots" and it shows Etling on the roster. I didn't bother to worry about anything other than Ethling being a part of that franchise.
