Why are you saying ESPN as if ESPN doesn’t have writers hired to give their opinion. Their is no singular response given by some faceless monolith known as “ESPN/ABC/Disney”.

2018 has some good players. Chase, Lewis (even though he’s not a freshman), Burrow (sane), Tracy (already gone), Curry, Hines, Joseph. But a lot of duds too. Fortunately when O took over in 2016 he still had guys from miles’ classes for a smooth transition before he could get recruiting rolling in 2019 and 2020.

That sucks but we can’t just always compare ourselves to Bama. Since 2000, LSU is one of the 10 best programs in America. Just because Alabama is number 1 shouldn’t take away from what LSU has done.
LSU has the chance to go 11-1 and make the playoffs as a 4. Name a team other than Washington from the PAC who will go to playoffs. Name a team other than Ohio St from the Big 10 who will go to playoffs.
