Ware is the most complete back at Lsu. I don't know why people are sometimes down on him. I hope he stays & has a banner year!

Ware is our most complete back. People here hate on him a lot, but he's the complete package. He probably won't bust a long one like Hill, but he can catch and block very well.
I was the one promoting Ware as our best back a couple of years ago. Now, I think he is our fourth best option when looking at the overall abilities. His biggest shortcoming is his lack of vision and lack of ability to make defenders miss.
It seems he just runs right into people instead of any moves to make them miss. Either he knows he lacks the burst to beat defenders or he really cannot "see" the defense...

lol yeah they have that hair. Both are hard runners. Lynch use to suck. Now he is a top 5 back
Lynch was a beast in college and his athletic ability along with his play on the field translated into an early first round pick. He was always a good runner but defenses never took Buffalo's passing game seriously and the o-line outside of Jason Peters was pretty bad.

Great running ability doesn't matter if the RB cannot keep the QB from getting planted into the dirt during passing plays. For awhile Ware was the only good blocker out of the entire stable of backs. Now it looks like Hill is pretty good at that role also.

If Spencer Ware is similar to Lynch then
Chase Clement is similar to Tony Gonzales
Mett is similar to Peyton Manning
Kadron Boone is similar to Megatron

I was thinking Lynch and Barber are similar in running styles and their sizes are almost identical(5'11" 220). One can manage to stay healthy, the other one is now retired due to injuries.

Ware is closer to Peyton Hillis than he is Lynch...except the hair and stuff.

If Ware never gained all that weight then he would have had no problem holding on to the starter spot. look at his very few highlights as a freshman, he had speed power and vision and his pass catching was already NFL ready. If he loses about 20lbs and comes back his senior year then he'll be the best RB on the roster hands down.

In his interviews, he explains that he likes to crash into the LB's instead of dodging them. After several games of around 20 carries, that run style took a toll on his body. He wore down by mid-season.

Lynch is like 4.5 speed.
Ware is 4.7 speed.
I would say maybe Blue and Lynch are most alike. They punish the first man, make a cut an then they are gone.
