and because people are sick and tired of hearing about Florida and Tim Tebow......

Yeah because ESPN always backs off when everyone is tired of hearing them talk about the same team....after all they have cut back there weekly Notre Dame segments to only 15 mins per Gameday telecast.

Ole Miss hasn't been relevant for decades and has no national following. Alabama hasn't even won an SEC championship this decade. No contest!

It's the novelty that would be so appealing....

I'm telling ya, CBS has to pick these games 2 weeks in advance. Note, they already called the UGA game for a 2:30 kickoff (two weeks notice). We will know what time LSU plays the monday after the Miss State game.

Not necessarily. CBS has a 7-day window they can use (and do often). In all likelihood, they will use the 7-day window for that particular weekend, although it's pretty clear that Bama-Ole Miss will be the 2:30 CBS game and Florida-LSU will be the primetime game. I'll bet you $10,000 that is what it will be. Rumors have long floated around CBS as such.

As for ESPN GameDay, if LSU takes care of business at Georgia, there is no question they will be at LSU over Bama-Ole Miss. Guaranteed. Nobody nationally cares about Bama-Ole Miss. Ok, maybe "nobody" might be a little strong, but certainly a significant percentage of the population would rather see Florida-LSU over Bama-Ole Miss. That's a given.

With all due respect to everyone in this thread, how long have yall been watching SEC football?? Some of the questions and comments made about CBS/ESPN are baffling to me. The TV selection "rules" have been the same for over a decade now, so I'm not sure why some of the same questions keep coming up as the years progress.

agreed. we're talking about teams from MISSISSIPPI and ALABAMA. there's no one on earth outside of those two states who gives a damn.

but we gotta go undefeated. next step: MS State
