I thought Loston was getting ready to lower the boom for an in-bounds tackle - legal and legit. Wehn the player stepped out of bounds he was already committed and did everything in his pwer to not hit the guy. He may have grazed him but pretty harmless.

Ahhh...That wasn't that bad. Come on already. Punched him in his face mask. Agree that he shouldn't have done it and should have been a 15 yard penalty but not a suspension. That would be ridic.

Actually, Herbie said he was pulled down by Spencer's hair, not a horse collar. It was hard to tell.

Same drive the defender tries to hit obj when he comes down out of bounds without the ball, same deal loston was flagged for, he even clips him on the back of the helmet.

Saw that on the replay, too. It was obvious helmet to helmet contact, plus he launched himself, which Loston has been flagged for a couple of times.

Keep in mind 72% of SEC officials make their home in the state of alabama.

Kind of a pussified punch. Doubt either felt it...obviously PJ didn't.

The head official watched the whole thing. He should have been ejected and should be suspended for additional games.

yeah...saw it, don't really care if the kid gets suspended. I just hope that ref gives us a 'get out of jail free' card when and if we need it. if you watch SEC refs enough you will eventually develop dementia...or worse. frankly, with all the shite calls we have gotten in the past five yrs...I now come to expect it. really sad how bama seems to get protected. seaux it geauxs.

crush the cult.

At which point you move to Hoover and become an SEC football official.

My hats off to PJ for self control. Imagine if he had retalitated and punched the guy back. then the refs would have likey ejected PJ from the game. Usually the second guy in the fracas is the one who get penalized. Smart of PJ to keep his cool, we would have really been up the creek if he were booted for loosing his cool.

While that's still crappy, why would you punch someone in the face mask? What are you accomplishing besides possibly injuring your hand

brett, i'm not saying it's the case for you, but usually it's only people who have never played football that say this.. when someone has a helmet on, with the chinstrap buckled, if someone punches your facemask, it really fricks up your chin/jaw area.. i've seen people chip teeth because of a blow to the facemask

it doesn't feel good

Watching replay of interception. At the .14 sec mark, #99 slows down intentionally and seems to say something to Dworaczyk. Then, right before 44 Copeland is lost off the lower left of screen, exactly at the .11 mark, you can see him take aim and take off to the left...obviously to teach the thug about LSU football.

The next time #99 is seen on camera, it's face down, eyes probably rolled back in his empty skull, wondering, if he has the brains to, whatever gave him the idea that he could cheap shot one of our guys and not pay the piper!.

Best penalty we've ever had to pay.

I'm scared of Copeland and I live 650 miles away from him...and carry two guns!!
