Sound system at Vaught-Hemingway is obnoxious, but it seems where we are all heading

For those LSU fans that are visiting for the first time it is going to be off putting, but I fear it’s inevitable to be our future as well. Huge speakers everywhere.
You won’t hear the Tiger band at all. We were across the field from Ga Tech’s little band, and credit to them they played through every shitty rap song, and all you could see was them moving around…couldn’t really tell what they were playing.
Full on DJ near the student section. Gotta be the whitest SEC crowd, bumping the latest rap music my old arse has never heard…but I guess they are catering to players and recruits…not the butts in the seats.
Oh well, enjoy the game. You won’t be able to unsee all the speakers once they crank up. I guess this is my get-off-my-lawn old guy post.

They do the 4th quarter get out your phone thing like I’m sure everyone does, but I didn’t really notice the full LED show.

LSU will be adding LED lights and upgrading their sound system this off season. The admin has been quietly planning it and the project was recently approved to proceed
