If Lsu goes undefeated, does anyone know of another team with a more difficult schedule to go undefeated?

I don't think any team has ever done so well against a schedule as tough as LSU has faced. I wouldn't trust SOS ratings though, it is determined by computers that are biased by the programmers. Very impressive body of work by the Tigers, not only have they won against all comers, they have whupped the others pretty well. Great job by Miles, his staff, and the team.

LSU needs for Cincy to win and WVU to be ranked ahead of them in the polls. Then they would have beaten 3 BCS bowl bound teams - Alabama, Oregon, WVU and none of which at home!

In 1995, Nebraska beat Florida (#2), Colorado (#3), Kansas State (#7) and Kansas (#9) by an average score of 49-18. These rankings were where they finished, not where they were when the played Nebraska (although they were also all in the top ten when they did play). Nebraska didn't play any other top twenty-five teams that year, though.

Our Schedule is why so many talking heads said that we would loose at least 2 games this season.

Absolutely LoneStar. Just looking at the chaos that unfolded the last three weeks with great teams losing to unranked teams, I can see why people said that.

Do the computers factor in the extra game that some play or don't play (conf champinships)? If not what effect would that have on this year? If a taem plays more games should they not also get more points?

The computers have their flaws, but "biased" is a stretch.

There have only been a handful of 14-0 schools, so that right there puts LSU in an elite group. We also beat likely the Pac 12 champion and Big East co-champion during the regular season. That alone is an amazing feat combined with the SECCG and 2 top 5 west foes. Only knock on LSU's schedule is that the SEC was a tad down this year as a whole (2nd best statistically) and we avoided the 2 best teams from the SEC East during the regular season.

I would say LSU has an argument for the best resume of all time partly because of SOS and also because we only had one close game against #2 Bama. That 2004 USC team was great bu had 3-4 close games against mediocre opponents.

Huh? All the computers weight the components (wins, losses, game site, opponents' record, etc.) differently but none of them favor any particular school or conference. Your statement makes no sense.

Well said. Nebraska's 1995 team was the last team to plau like this from wire to wire. Ironically, Bear Bryant never had a team like this. His 1979 team was undefeated but on three occasions, they struggled with inferior opponents.

FYI, Colley Matrix ranked Florida's 2006 schedule #5 which is the toughest of all the Crystal Football champions, but they weren't undefeated.

Yes they do. Without that extra game, LSU wouldn't have made the championship game is 2003 and 2007.
