Elated about the win and the progress made by the team. Hoping we avoid a let down in Oxford. What are you looking for exactly?

The team was absolutely not prepared to play Saturday. What was that 1st quarter? The in game adjustments worked out great and the team rallied. Who made those adjustments? We all know O didn't make the adjustments.

See, here is the difference between O 'haters' and CheeriOs...one group is completely emotional and bases that emotion on one game.

Were you logged off all week after the Troy game?

The other group looks at the season and career as a whole, and makes and educated guess on what that means for the future.

I'll let you decided which group is which...

The team is currently moving in the right direction. I think some of the haters are running out of ammo. When do the "educated" guesses become wrong just like the many of the other predictions after the Troy game.

9-3 in a down SEC is incredible? Get the frick out.

He still got blown out by State and lost to fricking Troy.

Those games don't go away.

One punt return and some lucky catches on horrible throws won't change my opinion as a shitty hire that will bring LSU back to the dark ages

Was the Troy game the only game we looked like complete shite in?

Um well you should but all you want is a national championship in his first year as coach.
Never said I was looking for an NC. But LSU got embarrassed by Miss State & Troy. Which shouldn't happen.

Oh and Saban almost lost to UAB. SABAN. NUFF SAID.
The program back then and the program now are night/day different.

All it did was tell Coach O to learn how to prepare for cupcakes. This is a learning season for him so if he goes 9-3, that would be incredible.

This shouldn't be a "learning season" for O. That's a weak excuse.

Great come back by this team, great job of coaching and making changes by Canada and Aranda. Props to Alleva for making coach O stay out of their way. Alleva should still be fired ASAP. The experiment is unsustainable.

So tired of this thread.

Me too but to answer the question, he is still dependent on his coordinators and apparently Joe to have things moving in a positive direction. I'm happy for LSU, especially the players, but I still don't think he's the right head coach for LSU.

I hope this is a turnaround and the season will be saved. It baffles me why some people can't understand that most of us would be thrilled to be wrong about O. I said so almost a year ago. The fact is, there is still a long way to go and I hope he and the players can sustain the emotion, fire and heart they coached and played with the last 2 weeks.

That loss (which followed a blowout to an SEC bottom dweller), reaffirmed history. A history of being a loser HC.

Do you not understand the difference?

When everyone says "oh but troy and state" is pretty much ignoring the fact that we went on the road and beat Florida and beat a good auburn team at home.

And the game still came down to a missed extra point as the difference

This missed extra point would not have given Florida the win, that would've been a tie game with LSU at least having a 50/50 chance to STILL win the game in a tiebreaker.

The 'difference' was NOT a missed PAT.

This missed PAT is a false narrative to try to create a negative impression.

When O sustains success over the course of more than a few games.

At this point, he is 5-2 with 2 REALLY BAD loses to teams that we should've dominated. (The AU game proves that)

Looking objectively, this season has been a failure so far. O still has time and games to improve the season, but no win(s) will erase what has happened so far in this SEASON.

Wrong. You seem to be ignoring that those asswhippings happened though.

opponents in a loss

This is where I think there is a communication error. People who do not think O should be the coach are not "opponents". We still love the team and cheer for them to win every single game. I think O was the wrong guy, but I still bought tickets to Tuscaloosa and will cheer (and drink) my arse off! Just because we think the guy will fail doesn't mean we want him to.

No, it's really not. That's called looking at the whole picture. It's possible to be ecstatic about beating Auburn while recognizing that UF is garbage, this team hasn't strung together consistent performances this year and they have two terrible losses.
