Because that’s what the kid wanted. If the kid and his family believe that’s what best for him, then that’s should happen.

That's right. Paul is all about the kids and nobody should question that. Cabell had no intention of coming to school and that's not been a secret for a while now. Paul isn't stupid. The kid wouldn't have contributed offensively for a year or so anyway. Powerful but definitely not an advanced, polished hitter. Lots of swing and miss.

Read before you post dumb shite. We have to make roster cuts somewhere, and he has already voiced he wants to sign. Easy decision

Yes, OldGretna has this right. He had a handshake agreement with CPM that he'd come start in outfield. CPM wasn't expecting all 3 to return so honored the kid's condition to enroll. What the OP is getting at is releasing a kid drafted in 8th round to go play for another school really sucks but hopefully he goes pro. But, if he really plans to go pro then no need to release him, right?

Might have something to do with retaining the entire outfield.

He could still have been a dh for a year. It’s not like someone of his talents wasn’t going to find a way to get on the field somewhere.

Why do you want the kid here if he doesn’t want to be here. Baseball isn’t a prison sentence. If he ain’t happy, hit the road jack.
He is going to a JC at worst not like he is going to Vanderbilt or UF.

He released him because he read your thread on here on when recruits were drafted. He saw you refuse to add current LSU players that were drafted, and got pissed more. Then he saw Adam have to make the thread you so lazily rejected and that was the final straw. He sacrificed Cabell.

Mine clearly stated it was only recruits. Sorry you’re too lazy to click multiple threads my man.
