Oh you mean like he did on the TD pass to Randle against Auburn?

Agree, I think ODB was the intended receiver and Shepard being so wide arse open just kept running and accidently ran in to ODB's route. Shepard has a history of running the wrong route and ODB has been great. Who do you think was wrong here?

I just watched the replay. Looked to me as if Shepard thought a defender was behind him and he was bracing for a hit that never came.

Yea, if those two guys would've made a play, we would've won. Oh wait...

It still amazes that when you listen to some people talk, they think we lost the game...

Shephard wasn't his initial read. He was looking to the left early. Realized the guy was triple covered and immediate looked to the middle and threw the ball. As he's throwing it Upshaw lights him up. RS just caught the ball off balanced. He tried to turn and run, but he was already falling down.

Go watch the replay some more.

Did it seem like ODB saw Shep and slowed up to prevent the defender from getting close to the ball? It looked to me like he was boxing the guy out.

But thank God we had him Saturday. And as bad a pass as you would have us believe it was, it was completed to our guy. And it was two of our guys and one of theirs in the vacinity, rather that two of theirs and one of ours.

There isn't a RB in college football that's in Richardson's class. IMO, he's the best RB in the SEC since McFadden.

I hope he bolts for the league after the season

Man. Its really kinda hard to criticize anything after the win over Bama, but for me, JJ holding the ball a bit too long was a consistent problem this game... but we all new Lee was the better passer... he just choked up against Bama.. JL will be ok, he will be back..

Yes I know he will be back, we need him!! Just like we needed JJ against Bama. Different QB's for different situations, I said before the game that I thought JJ would be the difference maker in this game. He didn't light it up, but he didn't suck, did just enough to get us over the hump.

If the pass would have hit him in stride...he scores...he had to stop and come back for the ball...

Ask JJ why Shep had to come back to set when he was wide A'' open???

Shep did not have to come back. He actually stopped during the play and that's when JJ found him. It could have caused an INT because the outside receiver was running a deep in route on the same play (I'm sure that was not by design for them to be in the same vicintiy that deep). He should have kept drifting deeper towards the endzone.

Can't believe our fans saw the play that way.

RS shoots down the field uncovered, by the time JJ gets rid of it Shep has to stop and come back. Plus it looked more like he was throwing to OBJ.

Then you blame Shep? JJ fans

ok now that Shep has the fundamentals of receiving figured out: catch first and run second I expect him to score another touchdown or three this year!
