Excuses. That was catchers interference, we had 16 strikeouts, Skenes had an off night, and we made a base running error. That’s why we lost the game

Pretty sure it was intentional, of sorts. They can play lackadaisical through the tourney, no big deal, they are a top 8 seed probably either way. They get a chance to play LSU, another national seed right about even with them in the rankings and a good opportunity to boost their resume in comparison to ours, so they pick their spot and blow their wad. Now they could basically lose out and still get a resume boost out of the tourney if anything.
