They already changed when schools were allowed to start playing because it was too cold for some teams to play, pussies.

That was a good change, they should focus more on that to help nothern teams compete, move the season back a couple more weeks and push it into july. Its not like LSU fans really go to games when its below 50 degrees, so can't blame those guys

Now, they are changing a component of an actual ranking system because these schools still choose not to play at home despite starting later in the spring

you think they don't want home games? Its hard to make any money off them when its 20 degrees

You don't see the NFL giving the Steelers or Packers or Patriots help because they play in colder weather.

Stupid comparison, this isn't football

so a top 25 Ohio State will benefit more from going to South Alabama and winning than South Alabama would if they beat a top 25 Ohio State team at home?

that seems stupid..

ESPN has already said that as long as they are televising the CWS they don't want it running into July. Honestly unless they move back the start of the season until the start of April, northern teams will never be on an equal playing field.

RPI formula will weight road wins over home wins.

Just to piss off the committee and since RPI doesn't matter anymore.

LSU can schedule

@ Southern
@ SLU
@ McNeese

To really piss them off schedule BRCC and play it at the Box with BRCC as the home team.

why? Don't want to get in the way of Red Sox and Yankees tonight? Or is it because we have to have a minimum of 8 hours of poker on?
Could always get a contract with CBS or Fox or NBC to broadcast those games, of course ESPN does it the best

New RPI formula is more fair to cold-weather teams.

If that were true the Jamaican Bobsled Team would've won in the Winter Olympics.

That's a good point. If it was applied to this past year we would have gotten more credit for our win at Nicholls State than any of our 3 wins against Fullerton.

Exactly...smart coaches will just schedule more weak away games.

No point playing a top 10 team at home anymore from an rpi perspective...when beating a crappy team on road will likely be about the same or only marginally different and therefore not worth the risk.

Guarantee you PM ain't happy about the change...ha ha!!
