Almost certainly the HPL Fieldhouse Pool. It's still a famous landmark, I just wish the university would spend some money to restore it.

I remember him and a couple of his friends talking about it one time. My dad's gone but I'll check to see if those two guys are still around and if so, I'll ask them.
LSU was actually rather wild back then compared to other schools in the South. Funny how that reputation goes way, way back.

Me too. The HPL Fieldhouse should be completely renovated/restored.
All those summer nights of skinny dipping in the pool at 2AM were a blast.

I have a great idea for next years Gumbo - which 2010 will be the 150 year of LSU. It would be cool to take many of these old pics and place them in the Gumbo and do a new one that's similar, such as the homecoming queen on a floating Magnolia in the pool like that.
