They used to have a precision defense like the West Coast schools. Now they look more like the Bad News Bears.
LSU needs to stop swinging for the fence every at bat. It seems that every out is an outfield popup. Just get fricking hits and move runners. LSU puts very little pressure on the defense because they seldom have base runners

So far this weekend, poor play behind the plate, poor play at third, poor play at second, poor play at shortstop, poor play at first. All have made errors, as have two outfielders. Seems to be a team thing.

I agree with previous posters. First, this team looks sullen, without fighting spirit, and does not look like they are having any fun. Second, Beth looks haggard and worn down. I’m wondering if there is some sort of inner turmoil in this program of which we are not aware.

I am assuming because they have zero confidence the offense will string together hits. Thats how desperate we are getting right now for runs.

3, 4, and 5 are like 3 for 42 in this tournament. I think it's smart to play small ball. Pleasants just increased her batting average to over .100. Now 4 for 32.

The offensive struggles I expected, what has me genuinely surprised is just how bad the defense looks, errors, dropped pop-ups, errant throws all over the place, not to mention all of that with the catchers alone. Idk if it's the offensive struggles bleeding over but they need something to change in a hurry if they want to salvage this year.

It's all about him. And people think he is a huge LSU softball fan. If he couldn't get on the broadcast - TV or field microphone - he would not be at any of the games.

People with more knowledge than me tell me Dobson has some sort of eggheaded “swing upward” approach to hitting and changes everyone’s swing.
