Do yourself a favor and get your money back on your plane tickets. It's about an 11 hour trip by plane, with stops in Dallas, Orlando, Memphis and finally Columbia. If you add in terminal time and airport parking, not is it cheaper to drive but faster as well.

But you can drink while flying and that is not recommended when driving. Maybe take a train as a fair compromise.
