I'm starting to agree with you. Lack of production at the plate has been a concern for years. She always seems to have some lame excuse, but the truth is that the softball programs at Bama, Florida, and UGA are looking at LSU in their rear view mirrors.

no .. I blame the coach that recruited the players that were on the field yesterday that couldn't get it done ...

Fico is going to be a great pitcher but it's not going to matter if the offense can't put up runs to help her out. It's really frustrating to watch a pitcher strike out 11 and allow just 1 run then lose
I looked up the teams that were once behind us and now ahead and each team was at least in the .310+ batting average, .40-.70 better than us in batting average (which is .271). They also had 12-60 more homeruns (we had 38 on the season) and at least 5 players w/ an average of .300 or better, we only had 2 players w/ that type of an average.
One program I looked up UGA has increased their batting average of .10+ a year over the last 5 years while we've stayed around the .266-.290 average. We have not improved in batting and softball is becoming more of a hitters game. The last 2 years we've seen teams break the NCAA homerun record.

well, the cajuns won the regional here .. now on to the super regionals for them ... looks like the ULL program has maintained status quo without the bill of goods and LSU has actually stagnated to basically taking steps back under her ..
