Seems like the other SEC teams have gotten better perhaps on both pitching and batting.

We have good talent but somehow haven't put it together.

2 hits vs a trash Missouri pitching staff, and one of those was a blooper single on the infield.

No way to sugar coat this, we have problems.

Tidwell I thought was gonna be great here. She has 2 years left to do something. She is hot and cold when you don't expect it. Well, you can expect it.

Personally, I don’t know why Kilponen or Sunseri would stay at LSU with the new transfer rule. LSU will be terrible next year without Andrews hitting and defense and without Doyle defensively.

Maybe she should give a try at Southeastern or Nicholls

Okay while this offense and Beth’s blind loyalty to Dobson is frustrating—our fate would be the same whether we were eliminated in one or won the tourney—host a regional and travel to a super. While this team isn’t the regional shoo-in past teams were, I think we find a way to win at home.

And I’m afraid a regional win will be enough for Beth to feel the status quo is fine. And I really don’t think Woodward will sit her down for a come to jesus meeting about Dobson. And we’ll continue like we are.

Beth has to realize that her buddy is not getting the job done and even if it moves her and the holdover staff out of their comfort zone, a proven and reputable SEC hitting coach needs to be brought in here and totally rework our approach at the plate.

These girls come to play for Beth

Something will have to give at some point. It starts with Beth though how she manages her staff/philosophy.

At some point the problem is bigger than the individual player when the majority of the lineup is hitting near .200.

Either they aren't developing players or cannot identify talent. Regardless, it falls back on a coach and not the kids. The kids are doing their best, even if its not good enough. Talent is weak in a couple spots but isn't matching the product on the field, they should be better than this. They aren't that hopeless in talent.

It seems to me with our hitters its home run or bust. They do not seem to value base runners or being patient at the plate. I would be interested to see how many first pitch outs we have from our 4-5-6 hitters.

I’m still blown away that they called for a bunt in the 6th inning with a runner on and down by two.

Tidwell is not going to be a .300 hitter ever when she has a swing that long. Its Springfield 2.0

She's solid defensively though but asking her to be that type of hitter isn't going to happen.

I think the hitters are not being developed/coached.

Sunseri’s puzzling drop off has been mentioned. Doyle hit .328 her sophomore year. Both of these players are big strong kids with a lot of talent. So yes, back in 2017-18, I figured Amanda would be an All-American before she left here.

Maybe my projections earlier in this thread were a bit optimistic, but yes—with their natural talent, I don’t think it unreasonable to believe Doyle and Sunseri would be anchoring this lineup hitting around .300 with 20 or so home runs apiece had they been coached the last few years by a mentor like Missouri’s hitting coach.

All Woodward has to do, if he wants to get involved, is call Dobson in his office and request him to look for another job. Apparently, Torina will not make the request. Need to go in a different direction. If the people on here who really know the talent of the kids we are bringing think its top notch, then WTF is happening to them after they get here. Why can't we get kids that PLAY like Hannah Adams to name just one. Would our present coaches ruin her too?

For one, I think she may be a better SS than Pleasants

Slow down buddy. Just last week she dropped a pop-up and missed a throw at first when she was covering on a bunt.
