LSU has lost 5 of their last 6 SEC games and dropped the 3rd game to Baylor in the last three weeks of the regular season. They really need at least two wins in this tournament. RPI wise we really didn't take a hit but we have shown poorly the last three weeks of the season. They need to perform well going into this tournament.

LSU plays the winner of Florida/South Carolina this Thursday.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Florida is not playing well and were pounded by Miss St on their home field this week. They have not hit the ball all year and they rely 100% on Barnhill.

Won't really matter, they have to play better going into this tournament/post season.

Its going to be interesting to see how Minnesota holds up RPI wise.

They literally haven't beaten many top teams outside of Texas and Northwestern

Lost to Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida State, Alabama, Arizona, Florida,

A rough three weeks for LSU Softball, no doubt. And happening at the worst possible time. Barnhill and Florida will be ready for LSU, Walton needs to win at least 2-3 games to be in contention for the last super regional spot.

LSU and Florida can make up some ground with good showings in the SEC Tournament.

Which would be very disappointing because I would like the Cajuns to make a run under Glasco.

The Cajuns could have a chance if the tigers don't turn the bats around.

They always look to do this but that would be 3 years in a row.

They won't. Unless they lose the Sun Belt tourney on purpose they might end up 1-1 against the tourney field and the 1 win is over Oregon St., who's no lock to get in. Baylor and McNeese being down killed their schedule and they still dropped a game to both of them.

Doesn't look too promising for being a national seed after getting swept by Alabama at home. Even winning 1 game would have probably kept them at #8 in the RPI and sole possession of 2nd place in the SEC. Instead, they're 9th and in a 3 way tie for 2nd in the SEC.

Almost certainly have to win 2 games in the SEC tournament to get back to 8th. Even then, the Minnesota-Northwestern Big Ten tournament semi-final winner will have a pretty compelling argument as well.

Worst case scenario I would love to be sent to Minnesota, easily the weakest team in the top 8.

Let hope they can make it to the championship and Minnesota slips up.
