Much easier to pitch if your offense gets you some runs early.

Team started the season on fire. Several girls hitting better than they ever have. Pitching staff looked more formidable than expected. Peaked early? Got complacent? Better competition? Probably some combination of the above.

I think A Sanchez is all in her own head at the moment. Not sure that Sunseri can handle such a huge role.

Well, the pitching staff is extremely young so you have to give Beth credit getting them this far in a rebuild year.

This team is just mentally lost at this point at the plate
