As a UL-Lafayette fan and graduate, I would like to congratulate LSU and their fans on a great tourney win! Im especially happy that Mother Nature and the outstanding crew let the ladies decide who advances on the field, and not some NCAA rule book. Tiger Park is outstanding and I had a great time there. Carly Hoover was the difference maker today, and Emily Griggs.. Just WOW! National Player of the Week for sure. Best of luck in the supers.

As an LSU fan who admittedly doesn't follow softball closely, I was surprised LSU pulled this out. Living in Lafayette and following local sports, I really felt UL-L's hitting would carry them especially after beating LSU in the winners bracket. Hoover was the difference IMO. Holding that club to 2 runs in 11 innings is a really big time performance. Aside all trash talk, etc., UL-L Softball is legit on the national scene. Big win for LSU.

Just made it home to Sugar Land, Texas from the game. A very long weekend but so worth it. No voice left, but a few celebratory drinks for the victory and my birthday should help my throat!!
