And no, we're talking backup cb with Jai Eugene

Started nine of games at right cornerback so it's debatable to call him backup.....the whole point of this is talking about who starts...

so Webster was a garbage cb his senior season?

he went from a 1st rounder to a late 2nd rounder...not garbage by any means but I'd say his play on the field was worse Sr. season than Jr. season

Did he live up to the hype yet? No! Can he with the proper scheme and coaching, that will have to be seen. When we talk about hype, we are talking about the hoopla concerning his recruitment. If you follow recruiting, Jai was a big deal so was Ryan Perrilou and Reuben Randle, Russel Sheppard and Craig Loston. We will acknowledge their greatness when they do it on the field. So far, Jai has not, but to be fair, the coaches had Chad Jones a future 1st round pick on the bench for almost 2 years, at a time, the wheels were falling off our defense.

he may very well do this, but hawkins isn't the garbage you make him out to be. He is every bit as good as jai despite being less talented

never said he was garbage...i hope CHawk turns into the Randall Gay of this football team...as a senior played the Nickel for a national championship team but lost his starting role at CB that year to better players--Webster and Daniels (Peterson and Eugene)...and even then, i hope he finds a spot on a pro team and goes on to a successful NFL campaign much like Gay has...

ONCE AGAIN....

Match the BIOS from LSUSPORTS.NET ...

An experienced and talented defender who heads into 2009 as the Tigers’ backup at right cornerback ... Versatile player who has also seen action on special teams in his two previous seasons ... Has played in 25 career games with nine starts ... Owns 43 tackles for his career and four pass breakups ... Very competitive and very much a team player ... Known for his enthusiasm on the sidelines.

Heads into his senior season as one of the leaders in the secondary ... LSU’s starter at left cornerback with great speed and tremendous covering ability ... Owns 13 career starts and has played in 38 career games ... Served as a backup in 2007 but earned a starting role after a tremendous 2008 spring and fall camp.

Doesn't matter who wrote them, but BIOS are written based on a depth chart, which is influenced by Cooper.

FACE IT...Jai=2nd string, but he is still a great talent!

God Bless all LSU players, but he had a bad year. From what I've seen, it should be Jai and Peterson. IMHO
