Jai wasn't all over the field making plays b/c he had his man covered and the ball was not thrown in his direction...he did his job and prevented the pass from even coming...instead, the QB would look the other way and hit his open reciever...Chris Hawkin's man that is....
Do you even have a fricking clue as to what happened on the last play of the game? First of all, the play before, Chris made the saving tackle after a drag over the middle. Second, the last play was a three step drop out of shotgun with a fade to the corner. He didn't look ANYWHERE else on the field at all. He threw up the ball in the corner of the endzone to his best player.
What the frick was supposed to happen? Chris doesn't know where the pass was going. He had his hand on London, so it's not like he was being burnt. It was just a really good pass that hit Crawford on his outside shoulder in the corner of the endzone. Who the frick is going to stop that? THAT is what you are going to judge him on? I'm sure Jai would have done something amazing and knocked that down, huh?

quote:2 things about this statement....
IF you recall Jai was on the bench during the 4th quarter on a regular basis, at least that is what I recall.
1.) we always fricked it up in the 4th quarter so this statment is making CH look worse than Jai.
2.) Jai should have been on the field. CH guy always made a big catch at the worst possible time. I don't ever remember Jai's guy scoring that game clinching touchdown.

quote:as a former DB in HS...CH should have had an eye on the ball. He should have hit the guy at the line, but because he is soo weak...his guy just runs around him and down the sideline. When the ball is in the air, CH had no idea what was going on. He should have been looking over his left shoulder instead of trying to no look knock the ball down. He was giving the reciever an invite to catch the ball the way he was covering him.
What the frick was supposed to happen?

Like I said 6 pages ago. Whoever the best two corners are should start.
The coaches are at practice everyday. What do we as fans have to base our opinions off of? Last year? If that were the case, the whole fricking secondary should be benched.
Hawktards, Jaitards, whatever. Whoever starts week 1 is the better corner according to our coaches. Opinions of fans on Tigerdroppings.com mean dick.
Nice thread though.
Where is your scholarship?

Wasn't him being weak, I think he started playing a bit looser after that PI call. But he def. admitted to losing the ball on that last play.

Look people.. The fact is that we had shite pressure on the QB last year. This year, it'll be different and Hawkins and Jai will look like world beaters.. PP too.
Pressure Pressure Pressure is the key to success. These are SEC WR's they were having to cover for 5 seconds sometimes... nobody can do that and not get burned.
Stand by for action! His NAME IS RAHIM!!

This is what I remember...particularly the last two TD's shown in the highlight...
On the first one it seems like the safety should have been there over the top.
Also, seems like Jai wasn't on the field much, or maybe that is just what I remember...

nah...you just didn't see him cause his man was covered so the ball didn't go to that side of the field...i know all you do is watch the ball...haha
and if not, maybe he should have been...i mean we did lose the damn game....

both he and Hawkins bit on a double move

well, he'd lost the starting job to PP by then, and since we weren't in the habit of using CBs at nickel and dime last year...

Curt Taylor. That's how he got benched. And Harry whiffed on the dude near the LOS right before that.
