FSU is going portal hunting. They were in OU trying to grab portal entries after Lincoln left. They are doing the same with Brad Johnson’s FSU connections.

Or he has heard of an incoming portal QB or his brother doesn't want to come here so he will leverage his little bro for 1 more shot

Hope for his sake it is his left shoulder, and there is a reason for his weak throwing motion. Otherwise, the kid has no future.

I think MJ's perceived value has never been higher after his final throw and win over A&M. I think his TE brother realizes that there are two competent TE's ahead of him at LSU. Bech is not going to stop being our pass catching TE, and if the TE Johnson does play early, it will be mostly blocking, and that is not his gig.
The combination of the brothers may have been a selling point from FSU since his father went there. Probably wants to get away from the rock bottom nature of the LSU OLine which needs a complete rebuild. The Oline didn't do MJ any favors this past year, and in fact, revealed MJ's weaknesses, along with Peetz lack of using dump passes to RB's. MJ probably feels he was the subject of much undeserved criticism and wants a fresh start. I can't disagree with that deduction, and it probably is best for all that he and his brother play elsewhere. He will unfortunately be an average QB whereever he goes....some highlight film and too much bad film. LSU will not be any worse off next year, and probably better at QB position.

His brother has to sign BEFORE the bowl game. They lose their two-fer leverage after he signs. Even with us, they were always a package deal.

I feel bad for Howard, LSU fans expecting him to come in and perform like All-SEC as a freshman.

Doesn't matter. Holds the ball too long and underthrows almost every deep ball. Can't seems to decide quick enough which receivers will be open and throw them open.
