and I think that will happen because I think Miles will likely let him skip spring football next year.

The possibilities are scary with the lineup we have next year. If Schimpf and DJ come back, we could have 2 teams. 1a and 1b.

Doesn't Dean have until August 17 to sign with the Twins?

Have to believe Didier will be in the mix before seasons end.

This. I think he will earn the starting nod at 3rd base sometime during the season. My lineup would be:

1. Dishon LF (Lightning quick)
2. Landry RF (Good combo of power & speed)
3. Dean 1B
4. Koeneman DH
5. Mahtook CF (Will get a lot of RBI chances)
6. Hanover 2B
7. Gibbs C (Helps balance the lineup)
8. Didier 3B (Adds some pop to the bottom)
9. Nola SS (Great as a 2nd leadoff hitter)

...REPEAT!!!

1)Hanover, 2nd
2)Landry, CF/LF
3)Gibbs, C
4)Koeneman, DH
5)Dean, 1B
6)Mahtook, CF/RF
7)Dozar/Didier, 3rd
8)Nola, SS
9)Dishon LF/RF

I can dream, right? Who are they going to pitch to? Koeneman or Dean? Mr clutch is behind them so they can't afford to walk them both

You want Gibbs getting more ABs than Dean?

It's not a significant amount of ABs by any stretch of the imagination. And yes.. I'd trade Deans plate appearances for an increased # of RBI

Powerful lineup.. might as well put the heat on early.

I disagree, but I see what you're saying. I think Dean making the score 1, 2, 3 to zero in the 1st inning would be much more beneficial than him(maybe) getting a couple more ABs with runners on.

I don't see how the situation is so different, except that Chad Jones is a better football player than Jared Mitchell.

It's different because Chad Jones is a much better football player than Jared Mitchell. And Mitchell is probably a much better baseball player than Chad(right now). And football starters have to be at Spring Practice. Period.

This is correct. Jones will be all football next year. You also have to figure that he's gonna go pro after the season unless he gets hurt. My bet is that we've seen the last of him in a baseball uniform.

I think Gibbs is a special player.. and I won't be shocked at all to see him batting either 3-5 this upcoming season.

Dude is an animal I think we'll be a better hitting team this coming year.. and that's fricking scary.
