So, what specifically concerns you about the Yellow Jackets?

to me, Josh Nesbitt and Jonathan Dwyer are 2 guys who make their triple option roll, and Paul Johnson seems to be very good at coaching it. Does anyone know if Jason Peters (DE out of Baton Rouge in 2007) starts/plays for them? Michael Johnson, 6'7 DE for them, is another guy that the Tiger O-Line needs to be aware of... he is a projected top ten pick in the NFL Draft.

From what I've seen, they have a very aggressive mindset. They are not afraid to go for it, take chances, and go for 2. They play to win and don't play not to lose.

I think the UGA win was huge for them—beat their in-state rival, got the UGA losing streak off their back, gave them a shot at a 10-win season and showed a larger audience that they're a team to be reckoned with. I imagine they're pretty hungry, focused and confident going into the bowl game—in other words, they can't wait to play on Dec. 31.

I HOPE our boys can't wait to play on Dec. 31 ....

I have a feeling our boys are just going through the motions to get to the off-season.

Yes Jason Peters has played as a backup. He has played in 9 games and has 5 tackles. So he is not a big contributor.

Our entire D line is something of which you should be aware. Derrick Morgan (soph) is the other DE and is tied with Johnson in sacks. Vance Walker and Darrel Richard (Destrehan, La.) are srs and have received honors. Walker has been projected as a 1st rounder. We are 12th in the country in tackles for loss thanks in part to the DL. In the backfield JWD is our best cover corner and should play after being out with an injury. Morgan Burnett is tied for the lead in interceptions with 7 including a pick 6 against uga.

On O don't forget Roddy Jones who averages 9 ypc from the A back.

We need to bring that same heat, anger, and aggression that Gardner Webb brought.

the triple option....

a)the game speed is hard to practice for in practice.

b)discipline is a big part of defending it.

You guys are better than Gardner Webb, right? You should have no problems with little ole' Tech and their gimmicky offense. You are the defending National Champs. GT can't even win the weak ACC.

It's not GT that concerns me. It's our D.

well...UGA's rushing D was 16th in the country before playing us...now they are 41st.

Miami's rushing D was 20th nationally before playing us...now they are 65th.

You guys are 17th nationally in rushing defense now...where will it end up?

Who knows...you guys have all of the great athletes...so does UGA...that is why you guys are defending natl champs and pre-season Top 5-10...and UGA was pre-season #1.

I think the bigger question could be whether our DL can pressure JJ.

our total inability to come up with a successful way to stop the wildcat for the last three years, which is basically a variation of this offense.

Specifically, poorly coached defensive teams often get eaten alive by triple option offenses, even when the defense has superior talent (see the GT vs. Miami-FL game this year).

In general though, I more worried that GT is just a plain old good team.
