So what happened to our roster?

We now know we have 51 players available for the bowl game.
That's 47 position players + 2 Kickers, 1 punter and a Deep Snapper on scholarship.
I took a quick look and I've found 20-21 players that have either transferred out since the summer, have had season-ending injuries or have opted out of the bowl game.
At least 22!
QB - Max transferred. Brennan has been hurt.
RB - TDP - not playing; Emery- Academics
WR - Boutte - season ending injury. K. Moore - transfer, D Smith - transfer, T. Palmer - transfer
OL - D Rosenthal transferred in late summer; not sure who else we are missing due to injuries. C. Wire - injury; C. Hines - injury and A. Bradford is also out.
DL - A. Anthony - season ending injury; L. Jackson - transfer; E. Taylor - transfer. N. Farrell - bowl opt-out. Ali Gaye - I think he's injured, right? D. Evans - music.
LB - N Strong - transfer; D Clark - not playing bowl game. J. Small - season ending injury.
DB - Stingley - when was the last time he played?
DB - Ricks. Transfer
DB - Sage Ryan. Is he injured?
Am I missing anyone???
I just wanted to put this together so we could all see how/why we are down to 51 (47 position) players for the Bowl game.
Edited to add Hines and Bradford - both out with injury. My count is 23 or 24 at this point. And DL D. Evans to music.

Chasen Hines and Wire are both injured and out for the year. I believe Anthony Bradford is out as well, but not sure if it was injury or disciplinary.

How does that work with reloading the roster for next year with NCCA 25 scholarships/signee's allowed per year?

Add the 21 back to the 51 and we were still short of the 85 limit. The roster is very depleted and will be below 85 going into next season too.

Our roster on the LSUSports.net website shows (according to my count)us having about 80-82 scholarship players.... this is about what we started fall camp with. 82. Of that, there are about 4-5 that were initially walk-ons that received scholarships at some point.
8-10 have transferred

Most of these so called season ending injuries are not actual injuries. They are minor and the guys are just throwing in the towel to save face instead of saying they’re opting out.
