Against Florida both QBs did a great job of throwing behind the blitz.

In fact, both of the big plays to TT were thrown behind the blitz.

It's like Lee has it sometimes and other times he is completely lost. Maybe he needs to get in rhythm to play well instead of this constant on again off again QB rotation.

Not to mention the fact Saban can disguise coverages and blitzes unlike what Auburn and Florida were doing.

Crowton had a hard time figuring out how to beat McNeese

This is sad but true, I really thought that we were doing the "vanilla" thing against McNeese, but I was wrong. Unless we can find a way to consistently move the ball, we are not going to be able to compete. Our defense/special teams will have to win it for us.If we could not pass the ball on one of the worst secondaries in college football, I don't, see us being able to do it against Bama. But as always, anything can happen in football. So Geauxxxxx Tigers!!

Sad but true. We can talk strategy till the cows come home, but at the end of the day we all know that there will be rhyme or reason to what gameplan we used against Bama.

there is no way to combat it on LSU's end

Well lets try some "screen passes". Can you imagine if we would have had a screen pass in the auburn game? How about just throwing to a back coming out of the backfield while the receivers are running downfield. we want beat bama with the pass. It will take a running game mostly with some quick slants and screen passes to wear their defense down.

Why wouldn't he? After what we saw Aub could do blitzing, BAMA should have a good day of it. JL better put some extra padding on as he'll be on his back all day. Our geniuses won't change the game plan at all to help these kids out. Even if they come up with some thing that works, they will stop it for some stupid f$%king reason and run the ball up the middle.

I think we'll see more and more of JJ running the ball with some easy read option run/pass type plays. I really think we'll beat them this year.

I have been confident from the start that we would beat Bama this season. However, some serious issues were totally exposed in the Auburn game. The o-line is not as good as thought and Lee still can't handle pressure. I think our D matches up well with Bama but Bama's D dominates our O and this will be a painful game to watch.

I think Bama grinds out a win unless PP can take one to the house and then put the O in FG range a time or two.

Saban will not do alot of blitzing against LSU. He doesn't have to. LSU runs the little dink and dunk regardless of if the other team blitzes. Why blitz if the qb is going to get rid of it anyway, even if you don't blitz. I believe they will simply load 8 into the box, play a basic defense and stop the run. If LSU doesn't have a good running game, they lose. On offense, they will simply run the ball down LSU's throat and grind out a victory.

Once they shut down the run and we shotgun every snap, you will see blitzing.

Too many good things for the defense come from our offense when pressure is applied.

It's debatable whether more of these things come from the play on the field, or the sidelines, but it's definitely both.

i expect same old same old. we just are not a good executing football offense and i don't see that changing with our present players or offensive coaching staff. my opinion is that our coaching staff on offense are the primary blame and hope we clean house at yrs end, maybe keep the best recruiter(s).

Nicky throws the house at everyone the gumps play--doesn't matter if it's Duke or LSU. McElf Roy and Julio worry me. Julio catches balls better with a broke hand than do our guys when their healthy! I don't think our D backs have thus far had to defend against as good a passing game as what 'Bama will bring. With their running game, 'Bama probably has the most disciplined balanced O in the nation.

And I think 'Bama's D is equal in talent and speed to LSU's.

LSU can win but the 9th game better be the best they've played all season.

I think Miles and Crowton will flip a coin before the game to figure out whose gonna have the 1st at calling plays and who gets to overrule..just sayin'....

There's nothing really we can do. But, I would suggest always having a safety valve somewhere close, like a RB or TE. If I recall correctly, on our last offensive play against Auburn, Lee was flushed left, and then he looked and saw NOBODY on the left side of the field. He was all alone, there was nothing else he could do but try to run. I say we run a screen every third or fourth play, kinda like Georgia used to do. And I'm not talking about WR screens. Saban has trained his DBs to devour bubbles and quicks to the WRs. We should run the good ole plain and simple RB screen.
