you do know the counter to your argument is to settle for less than San Jose St? Or Northern Ill?
Do you really want the Rant to go there?

According to the AP? Because according to the final BCS poll, we were 4th. According to the actual standings, we were 2nd in the west.
I know everyone here is working really hard to feel bad about our very successful football program but this shite is really getting out of hand.

wanna go off rankings then?
The answer is slightly better at either 11 teams or 13 teams....

Or do you have to win the SEC every year to be considered successful?
Not to drop names, and not because he's at Alabama, but you wanna know what separates Saban from the rest of the coaching world? He doesn't settle. That's why they have 3 championships to our none in the past 4 years. Because for us, its ok to settle for being 12-0 and getting blown out, unprepared, unfocused. It's ok to be 10-3, cause, heck, a 10 win season is pretty darn good.
Thats the difference. Second place is first place loser and you should NEVER accept anything less than a win. If for nothing more than how much money we pay goofus.

Currently, there are 25. If La Tech wouldnt have been dumbasses, probably 26 teams.

With 19 of those having ELEVEN wins...
LSU, where barely cracking the top 20 best records in the country = success

Nick Saban just joined a pretty elite bunch last night. If we can find a coach who can beat him consistently (or more consistently than Miles has) I'm all ears.
I just think all of this is circular bullshite designed to self-flagellate. I'm always disappointed when LSU doesn't play for the SEC but for frick's sake, some of you sound eerily similar to the (justified) complainers during the DiNardo era. It's really kind of weird.

The 10 wins thing is be now with 13-14 games played. You do realize that 19 of the top 25 teams had ten wins. Tulsa had ten wins and they are not in the AP poll so that's 20 teams out of the first 26

Man, you are one ignorant MFer.
1) You do realize there are more games to be played after the BCS poll and conference rankings come out, right?
2) WTF does where we finish on one side of the conference have to do with the total conference rankings? All teams from one division could be stronger that the best team from the other division
This is the final poll of the year, and the one that determines where a team compares. All the prior polls are just guesses

Well if you go all SEC rankings. LSU was 2nd in the west. And 4th in the entire SEC.
Posted on 1/8/13 at 1:03 pm to League Champs
LSU is the 6th best team when they aren't motivated for being crapped on by the SEC offices in Birmingham Alabama

#9 whipped #8's arse and #8 whipped #5's arse. And #14 whipped #5. Seems legit

you're right. Saban is the only coach in college football that doesn't settle.
this board is becoming an embarrassment

this poll doesn't determine SEC standings

It's beyond terrible at this point.
Growing up I was always proud to be an lsu fan and thought I was part of a great group then I became an adult and realized I was a part of the shittiest fan base imaginable.

All the retards on here using the 10 win excuse settled... Les Miles sitting on his arse with a 1 touchdown win, settled.
I'm not polishing the guys knob man, I'm just pointing out his motivation is either MORE or MORE EVIDENT than (at least) ours.
