And JJ was given a chance last year. And sacked, confused, spiking with one second,..

It is just funny how 1 QB can improve so much but no one else can.

Also JJ starting record 10-5
JL starting record 5-3
Great differece being JL starts were mainly SEC games

Again I don't think JL should be our starter, but the people that think JJ is the only QB to improve and should be giving the job because of what is has done are delusional..

Open competition is the only way to go and it would also drive JJ to work harder if to win it.

How many of you will be pissed/surprised if Jarrett Lee is HEAD AND SHOULDERS better than Jefferson in the spring game?

Why would anyone be pissed? I would be thrilled if Lee completley outperforms Jefferson. Regardless of Lee's performance during spring practice, we still should have started Jefferson this year. Lee looked lost and confused against Bama and Tech. The coaches really need to try to get Lee to gain more confidence, I really think Lee is a good QB, I just wish we had better QB coaching.

Dont even try and say all of those sacks were his fault. And the spiking is bullshite. You saw Miles callin for it just like the rest of us saw him.

WTF does this mean? JJ improved, maybe not alot but it was progress and JL did not AT ALL. That doesnt mean he wasnt given an opportunity.

I agree but we all know JL will not start next year

Really, 3/4 of the sacks were because of JJ? Do you not remember the Florida game? Florida rushed 4 lineman all game and dropped 7 into coverage, and got pressure in 2 seconds. JJ made his mistakes, but to say 3/4 of the sacks were all his fault is just retarded.

its mind blowing how some of you people come up with the shite you do.

Don't worry about my shite. Worry about yours.

You are the one suggesting we need to take practice time away from JJ to open the QB slot in the spring to include a guy who led us to our worst yr this decade in 2008 and stunk up the place in both his games in 2009 and throw in a guy who hasn't played a fricking down for good measure to see how it plays out.

You are fricking clueless and should STFU before you make more of a fool out of yourself.

If you go back to my 1st response, I never called for JL to start. I stated that after 2 years neither of them would be given the starting job. I even stated that unless someone clearly beat out JJ by the fall that he should start because of experience. But he has not done enough and looked too confused on the field for me to say he should automatically be the starter.

and the spiking, if your QB doesn't realize that you can't spike the ball with 1 second left, that is not saying much. i know the coaches were calling for it, but the QB is the coach on the field and should understand the situations.

if you cant get rid of the ball in 5 seconds, its your fault, if you cant see a blitz coming and get rid of it in 3 seconds to a hot route, its your fault...the line gave up some sacks as they do every year. but to say that it was all the O-line with 3 returning starters if fricking retarded...

I agreed with this, but they continue to think that were saying Jlee should be the starter, not sure where it came from but the dipshits love making shite up...

If Bin Laden could QB this team the best, I'd start him. I'm not sure how much eligibility he has though.

So describe a situation in which it wasnt JJ's fault.

not me. Murphy usually looks like the best runner and still hot beat out 2 years ago and last year he got hurt. shite Hatch looked way better than the other qbs in the spring game but yet we all knew he wasnt going to be the starter by the end of the year.

GIVE IT UP..HE WILL NOT BE LSU'S STARTING QB...

The guy just doesnt have it. Im sorry, but most players would agree that JJ has more emotion and more ability to lead this team. I know people will disagree with me, but i know players, especially on the line and the wrs. They would all agree that JJ is the guy. He may not be the best ever, but he is the best on the team with the most experience and would be shocked if he is not the starter next year.
