Also LSU has signed a very deep pitching class I think it was 6 guys who throw 90+

The key will be holding on to a few of the position guys. Getting both Cabell and Willis is key for the lineup in 2019.

We actually have a lot of depth, it is just young. This was always going to be a rebuilding year. They happen, no coach or program is immune from them in baseball. We should be very good next year when Storz is healthy and Walker is back. We will have Walker, Storz, Hilliard, Peterson, and Labas as guys who can start games and have starting experience. Hess could also return if he doesn't get drafted as high as he wants as he'd still have leverage as a junior next year. Cabrera is going to be flat out awesome. Only big losses in the field will be Duplantis and likely Watson assuming he signs. Smith should be back to full strength. We should be right back to our standards next year. Paul has proven he can build and rebuild.

How many coaches make over one million per year and will not finish in the top 25?

He's saying every coach in America has finished a season outside the top 25. If that is your standard for keeping your job, then no one would have a job.

Yep. TCU coach. 4 straight CWS. Unranked right now. Fire him. His program is in shambles. LOL

There are only 2 who make more than our coach that I can remember. I’m not worried about the other coaches who are paid what they are worth. The Gamecock coach who went back to back made 1/2 of our coaches salary. Don’t you think our support staff is a joke for a team like LSU?

Is THAT your problem?! You're envious of Mainieri's salary?

Maybe you should become a College Baseball Hall of Fame Coach and win 1,400 games as a Division I head coach if you want to make more than minimum wage...

The gamecock coach who went back to back was hired and still is their athletic director. He gets paid plenty. But yes you are concerned because you asked who is a top 3 paid coach who finishes outside the top 25. The answer to that is all of them have

And no I don’t think the support staff is a joke.

And that was almost 6 years ago. Do you think that Ray Tanner would be making the same salary today that he did as a coach in 2012 had he stayed in coaching and continued to have success?

Your cognitive thinking abilities are lacking. But that's been apparent for a while.

and how do you know he would be making over one million today? You assume too much. Just accept the fact our coach is over paid.

Where did I say I thought that? Link to it.

How do you know Tanner would still be taking teams to Omaha today? You assume too much.

PM can only win if he has talent. He had a losing record at Air Force. Quit making him out as the best coach to ever live. The dude has many flaws in coaching. He needs talent because he sure can't develop. Swept by a terrible South Carolina team. I'm embarrassed for him.

Link to where I said Tanner would be making over one million dollars today or STFU.

Link to where I said Mainieri is the best coach to ever live or STFU.

Better still, just STFU.

Eta: And you're not embarrassed for Mainieri. You love it every time the Tigers lose a game. You're in heaven because we got swept this weekend. You left the game thread today when we took the early lead. Then you came back in the thread to gloat as soon as S Car went ahead. Don't even try to deny it.

no shite, no coach can win without talent.

he also took Notre Dame to their first CWS in 50 years, made 8 straight NCAAT appearances, and 5 conference titles at a school that had never been a good program. They've only made the NCAAT once since he left.

Stop trying to minimize the accomplishments of Mainieri. It makes you look like an idiot.
