You know you've never explained why you know more about football than anyone who disagrees with you. I've been waiting on an answer to that for a while now.

Yeah, you know there have been posters who have actually claimed that sacks were turnovers. Guess that would be news to the NCAA! Wonder what color the trees are on that guy's planet?

When you take a sack on 4th down, guess what that's called. TURNOVER on downs. Nothing new to the NCAA.

if it's on 4th down, it's the same thing as a turnover, only the defense likely ends up with better field position.

Like I keep saying, if we fell behind in a game and needed to pass to win, I would take my chances with JL any day.

Not me, Jefferson has proven himself the much better QB with much higher completion %, better TD to INT ratio, and a better win/loss record as a starter. Thanks but no thanks on playing the 2nd best QB over the 1st.

He was still very inaccurate even on that last drive. If RR doesn't bail him out on that one throw then were 0-2 vs UF and a shitty UGA team.

Huh, LSU RAN on the last drive. You must mean the next to last drive where JJ had two dropped passes perfectly on target...one by LaFell and one by Dickson. Captain Chaos, perhaps your DVR is acting up but your descripton of what happened is delusional.

I think what has been correctly stated on here is that the problem is les miles is in JJ ear saying "don't turn the ball over". so what is JJ to do? listen to his boss and keep his job or thow a few more interceptions so he can head to the bench? he is 5-1 right now and LSU is not better than Florida (no matter what JJ does).

much improvement is needed but considering last year MILES IS HAPPY to be 5-1.

The offensive line isn't great by any means, but Jefferson is more to blame for the sacks than they are.

Just shorten your userid to "NUTS"...then it would be perfect for you. The MAIN problem both in the running and passing games is the OL poor blocking. As far as sacks go, about 70% of them are poor pass protection, the other 30% of them are Jefferson either holding the ball too long or literally running into the pass rusher. But the MAIN problem is normally 0 pocket as pointed out by the writers, the coaches, most fans here, and even some of the players who have said they aren't blocking good enough...T-Bob Hebert among them.

Big glaring holes in your argument:

1) When he takes a sack on 4th, it is turning it over (with better field position no less)

2) Uh, you do realize we were 5-1 last year, right?

that's not really a "problem" per se. I'm sure they want to continue to let him develop before they turn him loose. As a competitor, that is probably very difficult on him.

Who was LSU playing on Saturday? Oh yeah, it was the #1 team in the nation with the #1 defense in the nation and 11 out of 11 starters returning, huh?

Obviously.

And yes he was not accurate then or vs UF. how many slants did you see get thrown high low or behind the receiver? I can't think of one that hit the receiver in stride. JJ can't hit a moving target when he's standing still and you want to roll him out and throw on the run?

Because I recognize the problems and actually give at least partial potential answers to them. You just whine and cry like an 8 year old and couldn't find your arse with both hands and a flashlight.

BTW, you looked awfully lame by running away from that challenge about putting up your rights when I proved many agree with my posts and Jefferson. A thread last night had several right there who said that JJ was not the problem.

I'd love to see the kid gloves come off and for him to take a few chances. Then we could find out how good of a QB he could be in the future.

as much as i want to see that too, coming into the florida game i don't think that would have been a good idea.

looking back, maybe it was. but its not like it was that simple. we moved the ball on georgia.

Turnover on downs is NOT a turnover. Learn the jargon, Jughead!

And that changes things how? Bottom line is that you NEVER take a sack on 4th down. Get the ball down the field and give someone a chance to make a play.

So what about the 4 sacks he took vs Ole Miss LAST YEAR or the 4 sacks he took vs Arkansas LAST YEAR? Better O line same result.

First, Miles doesn't call the plays, Crowton does. And second, you are not going to have a vertical passing game consistently until the OL either purposely or accidentally get in the way of pass rushers. Barksdale and Black each had matador blocks on plays where they hardly even touched their man and no stunting by the defense was even involved...might have forgotten the snap count!

First this:

Followed by this:

Yea, personal insult is really insightful.

And as far as this:

BTW, you looked awfully lame by running away from that challenge about putting up your rights when I proved many agree with my posts and Jefferson.

I tried to tell you in that thread that I could care less about you. Guess that just didn't register.
