Skill wise they aren't similar, they just have similar builds
They both have average, at best, ball skills. Both are suited to cover big, rangy wideouts and will struggle against most slot receivers. Neither is exceptionally quick out of breaks and neither has great hips.
I'd say there are more similarities than just size.
The only difference is Collins' top end speed is much better than Simons and Simon is much more physical.

Why does our fan base keep trying to put our own players down.
We got a guy here getting a favorable draft stock analysis and is being liked by pro teams and all we can do is sit here and say "ohh wow I thought he sucked. These NFL guys are idiots!"
Like damn. Just be happy for the kid

Just sayin'.

quote:
STRENGTHS: Prototypical size in terms of height, weight and length. Possesses tools that cannot be taught such as very good long speed and overall athleticism (tracked down Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon on a 65-yard sprint). Excels at turning his hips and mirroring receivers down the field on deep routes as well as with jump balls due to his ability to time his jump and high point the ball. Stays in-phase with all types of receivers both big and small down the field.
He isn't afraid to stick his nose in the action and get physical. Expresses disappointment in himself on completions, but shows the ability to move on to the next play with little to no drop off in effort or confidence.

They know more than me, so I guess I'm wrong.
All I have to go on is watching him in games. I can remember quite a few times he was by quicker receivers because he couldn't get turned.
Hopefully he's improved on that, and it looks like he has.

When he was matched up with the number one receiver is was not good. I'm glad he is getting a first round pick. Just wish he would have played like a first round pick his career.

I always liked his strength and quickness @ CB, more than the other guys everyone always talked about
