. It's a very precarious situation and not as easy as you think.

It really is easy. It goes like this: 1) someone shares information with you that they would like you to keep private; 2) (if it's about "loyalty and honor") you don't share the information OR (if it's not about "loyalty and honor") you share it because you don't give a shite anyway.

Yes, some people spout off about shite they don't know anything about. Kind of like your post. I'm sorry you got your little feelings hurt because he won't give specific details.

This is just a stupid comment that deserves no substantive response.

quote:

Vol has always provided good, accurate information

How can you possibly gauge this if you cannot say what the information is? Seriously, what exactly was the information aside from "some number of players may or may not be suspended and one of them is probably a starter"?
That's like a horoscope or some other bullshite, nebulous prediction. Hell, I could say, "some coach will no longer be with the LSU staff after this year, and it may or may not be someone on the defensive side of the ball." There is a strong possibility that it will be true, but it doesn't mean I have "inside" info. It means I can say a bunch of sufficiently vague stuff that will likely be true given enough time.

I'm not saying VT is not a man of his word. I'm not saying the information is not accurate. I'm saying that VT and others with inside info need to be more deliberate about how they share it. What's the point otherwise aside from spooking the fan base?

My biggest gripe about this is the cloak and dagger bullshite. If you have info, cite your source and give a complete statement of what you know or keep your mouth shut.

Know how i know you dont know anything about reporting?

Jesus what a bad take.

I can assure you, you're wrong. Also, VT is not a reporter. He is not bound by the strictures of journalistic ethics. He is a poster on a message board who purportedly has inside info.

Jesus what a bad take.

So good "reporters" don't cite their sources? They don't give an accurate statement of the information at their disposal?

I ask again, if you're not going to provide complete information or citations, what's the point of sharing the information? What possible good comes from it?

Because some of us actually like getting info that is relevant to LSU sports and hasn’t been made publicly available yet? And media members cite anonymous sources all the time. It’s not quantum physics man.

Even if you can't say who shared the info specifically, saying "I have inside information from someone in the administration/a coach/a current player" is sufficient to show the reliability of the source without putting anyone's job at risk.

Also, saying "SUSPENSIONS ARE COMING" without giving us an idea of who it is just breeds uncertainty and rumor-mongering. A fanbase full of chicken-littles with incomplete information is not constructive for anyone involved.

If people followed your (horrible) advice, there would be no inside information on here, because everyone doing it would be OUTED and that would end the leaking of said information. Dumb comment.

So your curiosity outweighs the benefit of accurate, verifiable information?

And the man in your sig image calls that "fake news." Just because bad reporters do it all the time doesn't make it right.

You're right. It's intelligent sharing of information... which is something everyone needs to be more deliberate about in 2019.

No. I'm saying player suspension issues are not state secrets that could lead to imprisonment or death, you ignorant frick.

Ditto. Don't blather about reporting when you're out of your depth.

The names my source in athletic department told me were Joseph and Netherly, possibly Dee Anderson as well. I do find it noteworthy though that both Fehoko and Sullivan, presumably starters, we listed 2nd string on the official depth chart for this week though.
