just like there's now way a Washington should actually beat USC, and yet some Miles-haters on here say they'd rather have Petey in Baton Rouge!

Ok.. we hae OL and QB struggles?

exactly, and that equates to an offense that's going to struggle no matter who is coaching. It's ok if you still hate Miles, but no coach is going to look good with a struggling OL and QB.

Why does Chavis get a pass just because he's better than Malveto? D is under performing if you ask me. Inability to get pressure on QB's will really rear its head next 2 games.

I think a lot of problems can be attributed to the 05 recruiting class. We have GREAT young defensive players but they need time to develop and grow in many ways.

agreed. Miles ultimately responsible. Though I don't recall anyone bitching when we signed RP, Lee, and Jefferson. Our O line is too small. Hell, the 2nd string O line looks way more imposing.

again, easy to say now. They were all highly regarded recruits who were being sought after by most everyone else. Our schemes still suck, IMO. Imagine how good PP would be if we pressured the QB.

To be fair to our coaches, this year's d-line is just not as talented as past years. I actually saw the d-lineman do some stunting and swim moves vs Tech, which is different from the usual bull rushing we do every play.

Guys like Downs, Davenport, Montgomery, and Edwards can revitalize the d-line over the next several years though.
