birth of child > LSU Football. Let's be serious here
But if you can do both, why not?

My parents are huge Texas fans and sister was born when they were ranked #1. Pops was at the opening game when mom went into labor. It's been nearly 30 years and she doesn't seem to care - actually laughs about it. Then again, that was 1983 so no cell phones.
Where am I going with this? Buy a flux capacitor and go back to time of no cell phones.
Oh, and congrats on bringing another Tiger into the world.

Barkevious on a fumble recovery could be a not so good thing. Hospitals have TVs.

Our daughter's due date was Nov 7 last year, Alabama game. HAd to sell all my tickets and she wasn't even born until Nov 13th, but it's your kid!
Nothing will matter more that day than your child and wife coming out healthy and all is good. You can DVR the game.

As a backup plan, record the game. And don't let anyone tell you the score before hand.
And grats!

dont worry about your child actually being born on the 5th even if she is induced it could take up to 1-5 days at some cases.. also make sure she drinks plenty of water on friday and saturday that will help.. best of luck...

I have a feeling that the labor will happen on Saturday which of course means I will most likely miss the game.
What? Women have been having babies without the father in the room for a long, long, long time.
The birth of a child is no reason for the father to miss the biggest regular season game in 50 years.

My hope is that if the labor is Saturday my child will break through right as Jarrett Lee throws the winning TD pass to Randle with no time remaining.
shite how about we win by 7 points and take a knee.

Congrats on about to become a dad.
I bet the baby comes on Friday - even he wants to see this game.

Message mbt2465 So here is my predicament My wife is nine months pregnant with a due date of Nov 5th. Weve been trying to get this labor kick started but to no avail. I have a feeling that the labor will happen on Saturday which of course means I will most likely miss the game. My hope is that if the labor is Saturday my child will break through right as Jarrett Lee throws the winning TD pass to Randle with no time remaining. As long as the Tigers win and the baby comes out healthy I guess ill be ok.
Tape the game so can explain to your daughter why she has the named Jarrett Randle __________(insert your last name here)!

Just talk to her NOW about NEVER EVER planning a birthday party on LSU game day DURING the game.
If you raise the kid right, he/she will want to go to the LSU game for his birthday. At least I did.
Congrats and

Stay home and watch the game. Your kid is a Tiger. He will understand. He'll do the same thing when he has a kid. It's the way it's supposed to be. Tigers looking after Tigers. You both have each others back. Geaux Tigers.
Better yet, be there for birth. . Make sure big screen high def 55incher tv is in delivery room. TAke kid in handoff from Doc and then raise kid up to celebrate the glorious and victorious LSU Tigers.

Dude - the priority for a healthy baby is so far out high in the stratosphere compared to a mere game on the field.
Dude, sense of humor, do you have one?
If multiple posts are about the importance of the childbirth- the OP at least feels better about missing the game

THIS.
Mine were born on LSU - ole miss, so I won't see the grove for another 16+ years. Oh well. Think you'll have someone to hole during the MNC game!
In all seriousness, I hope all are born, happy and healthy on Friday!
