No, I was praying for a new HC to come in, fire Chavis et al, and run most of the recruiting class off, so you'd really have something to bitch about. Hearing the complaining make me happy.

His buyout is 15 mill for 3 yrs then drops by 3.75m per year

So at the VERY LEAST...Miles is here for 5 more seasons.

I'll take it!!!

I for one am not happy.....I'm F'ing exstatic! The Hat staying here keeps the chief here but more importantly Ron Cooper. I don't want LSU to ever let this guy go. He is doing a hell of a job with our DB's

I am not one of these positigers that thinks cause Miles leaves that the whole program will necessarily revert back to losing seasons. One the other hand Miles staying is good for LSU. Miles has earned the right to stay a couple of years. I differ with the positigers in that Miles shouldn't be given a lifetime contract regardless of his results. Miles needs to at some point go back to Atlanta again.

No problem with extension/raise... buyout is a bit much and should have been reduced imo

his buy out lessens every year. So yes I am happy. And when we win the west next year there will still be people making excuses to why he shouldnt be our coach.

This is why I am happy. cus in 2-3 years if we dont make ATL then the buy out will be less. I am trying to be optimistic and I believe if he makes it 1 or 2 times in the next seven years that will be better than teams who will change coaches 1-2 in the next seven years and not make it to AtL. Which is something we might have faced if he went to UM. The next coach would have had to best an a 11 win season to best miles. With the first time since 07 having a sr qb it should have been easy, and if that next coach didnt win the west in his 1st year, like Miles did, then how long would we give him?
Les miles hire today seems like a much better hire than Meyer. With an unknown in how well muschamp will do, their program could be set back a few more years if it turns out to be like the Zook gators. Stability in a program can go a long way. Should bowden have been coach for as long? no, but i didnt expect les to be here in his 70's any way.

Decide to stay at LSU with a 7 year contract extension and a huge buyout ?

Acceptance and happy shan't be confused. Reality is a motherfricker.
