Nah. Kris Richard will tell O yes and O will tell us that this was was his target all along and that he brings a great energy to the team.

Get Glenn Schumann in here and have him hired by early next week. And I can’t imagine it would be hard to snag David Reeves away from UAB or Tem Lukabu from BC.

There’s been other options vetted. Freeman wasn’t the only damn call, he was just the first interview. This will be locked up by early next week.

LSU offered everything they could. Nobody to blame in a decision like this.

I wouldn’t say or know that. But I know he’s been contacted, along with others. LSU didn’t have all their eggs in one basket. Sure Freeman was the priority #1, but let’s be real, any competent DC will get the talent at LSU back in the top 30 instead of 124......

This is as important a hire that Coach O needed to make as any. LSU fricks around and does another 6-6 with defense at the bottom again, I don't know if Coach O will make it. We may be looking for head coach at that point. So it is VITAL that he gets it fixed with the right guy.

If it takes another 2-3 weeks I'm fine with it to get the right guy. I would prefer that than rushing and hiring the wrong person.
I have no ill will toward Freeman. He made his choice based on what he felt was best. Time to move on as there other really good coordinators out there.

There are a handful of more desirable programs than LSU to many coaches. Notre Dame, Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia. Not saying every coach would prefer these programs to ours, but many would. Yes there are coaches who would pick us over these programs, we’ve just had a bad run as of late.
As long as we are going after guys who are not being sought out by these programs simultaneously, we will get that guy.
