Curious what Texas is paying him versus what SE was paying him. Can't imagine the difference is massive, but its Texas so who knows.
Maybe SE wasn't getting him the big time offers he felt he was due for, and this will.

We've just had Jenny (HC at Northwestern) and husband Brad fuller (assistant at Northwestern) leave to both be Assistants at Baylor.
Justin Lewis left 2 years ago from HC at Nicholls to an Asst Coach at Kansas.

I get that. But Southeastern has been a way more successful program.

Fremin has had opportunities to leave. He's turned them down. What exactly they were, i'm not sure but him staying at hammond over the years had a lot to do with family things. I think the tide is changing where he's wanting to chase that bigger gig and obviously this type of job is a big time get and opportunity. Mike White is 58 yrs old. Maybe there's been some discussion of a transition period for texas where Fremin could be in line to replace mike white in 3-5 years. but that's just me speculating on possibilities.

According to public records the last I saw in 2023 Rick made 63k, I’m sure his wife was another 40k. Earlywhine made 200k as associate head coach at Texas. If Rick’s wife stays as hc in Hammond that would be a massive pay bump combined

Yea was wondering what his wife was going to do. I thought i remembered her being an assistant on his staff.
