thank you. personally, i've been rooting for southeastern all season, but some of their fans feel the need to come in here and talk trash and for some reason expect a different response from lsu fans than what they're getting. i don't think lsu fans have any hatred towards southeastern. i mean why would we? the only louisiana schools i don't care for are tulane and lafayette baseball.

I am a hell of a lot bigger LSU fan than SLU. i make every home game except sundays(work). drove to omaha last year. i am just calling it like i see it, i have been at both schools and i just dont understand why most LSU fans think it is ok for LSU to pitch their studs(brough it OTT in the 8th vs SLU last year) but if an instate school wins all the sudden it is their world series

We had no problems playing NSU or even going to Shreveport to play them. It was big for them and made them tons of money. We enjoy playing McNeese, SLU, UNO, Nich, ULM, and even Cent. every year. The only main negativity that goes on all the time here is tulane and ull. Look at the history this season on tigerrant. We were even talking about how exciting this game would be if we both only had a couple loses this late in the season. That was said when we were both 10-0 and 11-0.

although i have not read every post on the rant, the other SLU fans i know who post here just like to stir up shite as a joke when it comes time for SLU vs LSU. hell they were with me in omaha last year. one drove by himself through the night 16 straight hours to make the texas series(arrived 1 hour before first pitch).

because it's the truth (btw, ott was an unproven true freshman last year when the two met in the beginning of march). the same would be said if mississippi valley state beat ole miss, if Arkansas Pine Bluff beat Arkansas, if Austin Peay beat Vandy, etc. Most of the time, teams from small conferences that will only get 1-2 teams in the tournament max use midweek games against superior competition as an attempt to get a win to boost their rpi, so they'll pitch one of their best pitchers, while teams who don't need midweek games, use those games as practice and to work out things for the weekend. this is nothing new. slu isn't in that situation this year, but a team like centenary who has no chance for postseason play w/o winning their conference tourney could have their best night of the year beating a team like LSU or whoever.

not sure about ULL this year, but last year they started their 5th pitcher, beat LSU, and the rant claimed it was their ace, come on now.

So bringing in a true freshman last year was unexceptional? He wasn't considered an ace last year until later in the season than we played you. Regardless, he was a true freshman and closers work during week as well as weekends to get some innings in.

no shite, and i planned my entire summer on LSU making it to omaha
i know a lot of people are planning on going regardless of whether LSU makes it or not but i just cant convince myself to spend that much money without LSU being there, would rather be fishin. omaha last year was probably the best LSU road trip i have ever been on, and i have been on a lot. just would not be the same without them here.Posted on 5/5/10 at 1:03 am to redneck
we make it to omaha often enough that i don't think i could make the trip just do it.
