You know Lester? I've always respected your opinion and have been in total agreement with many of your posts over the years. However, with both BC and OSU having an EASY schedule to the MNC....I'm thinking (ahead of time) that the best team in the country will be shut out of the MNC.

I shouldn't question anyone's intelligence....I just wanted to point out the significance of this loss by VT when they had the game won.
It TRULY affects our (LSU's) destiny to even make it to the MNC.

I dont know the numbers, or what will happen in the future, but like a lot of people, i could def see on of those teams losing a game.
If they both win out, we may be shite out of luck, which is a shame, because we could prob beat both of those teams

Remember:
BC winning out and OSU winning out is pretty much a cakewalk in comparison to LSU playing the schedule we have left.
My contention is:
VT CHOKING to BC affected us dramatically and possibly cost us a chance to play in the MNC.
What say you?

Very slim chance... but possible if they win shaky and we win strong, plus our SOS should help us in the computer rankings. The odds wouldn't be good for us.

we have a very small chance if they both win out. But USC was #1 in the polls in 2003 and got left out for a #3 (in the polls) OU team. It happens, but we'll need a lot of help from the voters, and the teams we've played.
(And IF (big IF) Arizona State wins out, they could pass us up... their SOS will improve a lot, as well as their status with the voters, if they can beat USC, Cal, and Oregon. Slim to none chance of that happenning, but it could.)

Trust me when I tell you that ASU will minimally lose one game.....throw them out of the picture.
We now have to HOPE that UF wins out and meets us in the SECCG. You can thank UF for destroying OSU last year in the MNC. Hopefully, if BC, OSU, and LSU win out, the computers and human voters will understand that the best team in the country is LSU. Do you have faith in that?

Thank you......so we're debating this because why? You totally agree with me....hence my anger that VT choked. This is a HUGE obstacle for LSU even if we win out. Yes, many things can happen but with OSU and BC's lame upcoming schedules? Basically, we're F*cked. But ARE we f*cked? Will we play USC in the Rose Bowl? Is that so farfetched? Since we're (probability wise) out of the MNC.....will the Rose Bowl take us vs. USC? Think about it.
