For the uninformed and clueless faction of this board, the NCAA, ESPN, CBS, Fox and everybody else hates LSU and, except for Bama, the SEC in general!

There are plenty of reasons to be dissatisfied with Mike Slive and the SEC. His role on NCAA selections is not one. He wears a different hat for that , as most folks recognize.
Until the SEC gets more consistency in officiating crews of all sorts, it will continue to be subject to criticism. The claims of Alabama homerism in the league (and the related claims regarding Tenn, Ga and Auburn in football and Kentucky in B' Ball) have legs, right or wrong, as long as the inconsistency persists.
I don't get the impression this is a priority for him.

The ending of the Moo State/Tennessee game was decided by refs, not the players. The SEC refs take every chance they get to F things up.

Watch an ACC game and then an SEC game and watch how the ACC refs let the players play......our refs friggin' take over to where Moo State takes 57 free throws and LSU takes 10. It's BS.

I think he did. He made sure those refs made sure MSU won to get 3 in!!!

+1 - That became very evident on Saturday. I realize LSU played poorly, but it was quite obvious the officiating was very slanted.
As soon as that game was over, I knew MSU would win the tourney, so the SEC would have three teams in the dance.

I saw an interview with Slive Sunday morning (before the SEC championship game) on ESPN. He stated that "the teams were in" and that the bracket (seeding) still needed to be set. It would not surprise me at all to find out that the Miss. State victory over Tenn. knocked Auburn out of the NCAA tourney. Quite likely that the SEC had 3 slots in the tourney and only 3. MSU likely played there way in and Auburn's way out.
