YOU: Reid scores runs at a low rate
ME: he scores runs at about the same average guys like Broussard, Feduccuia & Cabrera do.
YOU: you tried to compare Reid the overall player to Broussard, Feduccia & Cabrera!!!
well that, also, is a dishonest and intentional misrepresentation of what has been said

Well your going to have to show me where I acted like Reid was more valuable then those guys. Cause I surely don’t think that nor did I write that.
My point was simple. If Reid sucks at scoring runs then so do those guys. But we all know none of them suck at scoring. You just thought Reid did before you did their math

I'm not twisting it. I provided more data on Broussard, you just don't want to acknowledge it because it supports my argument. Another novel concept. When making an argument, you don't just address the points that support your own arguments. You address all points. Otherwise, you create a very slanted and intellectually dishonest argument.
You went from talking LSU 2018 stats, which suited you perfectly until you did the math & realized a great player like BB scores as much as scrub Reid....to bringing up what he did last year at Delgado. You still think I’m slighting B.B. which is quit hilarious.

I stand corrected keep this thread going as Pawl needs his Continuing Educational hours required by Alleva’ new Million dollar contract.......

What would be yalls starting lineup right now?
(not to be only directed at Lester)

actually I used Reid's career stats as well when this all started. You brought up Watson, Cabrera, Feduccia, etc 2018 stats.
In my very first post on the subject
quote:
For his career, Reid has scored 40 runs in 304 plate appearances. That means he scores 13.16% of the time he bats. For someone with a .420 OBP, scoring only 40 runs isn't exactly impressive.

so I used what he has done in his career just like I did with Reid. Just so happens Broussard's entire career hasn't been spent at LSU. I also never said Reid was a scrub. Nice strawman though

No I don't think that. I think you believe that what he has done in 1/3 of a season at LSU trumps any argument I made that speed for a singles hitter is important to assessing that player's value.

right now with Broussard and Smith out indefinitely
1B - Bain
2B - Reid
3B - Slaughter
SS- Hughes
LF- Cabrera
CF - Watson
RF - Duplantis
C - Feduccia
DH - Beau Jordan
Although I think you could move the guys around at 1B, 2B and 3B

I agree who cares about last year. It’s last year, turn the page.

He would of been better off striking out and at least give the guy behind him a chance. Power hitter choking up and hitting a dribbler doesn't help him one bit. Get the ball out of the infield.

One is getting on base 45% of the time and one is getting on base 33%. Neither is hitting for power

n, if Slaughter had another redeeming quality, like if he was dropping bombs & still hitting .220 you could live with it.
Ground breaking stuff, I know.
