So glad he was able to witness the success of the program he built and realize his legacy will continue long after he's gone. Even happier to see Jay carry the torch under his mentorship.

We are all blessed Skip decided to coach here and impact so many of our lives for the better. There's good and bad in this world. He represents what's good and this program is a reflection of that. There's honor in how he operates and those he surrounds himself.

He's a once in a lifetime special type person and I'm just very grateful we were all able to be a part of it.

While I will forever be grateful for the program that Skip built, I find it sad to see him reduced to being in a wheelchair now.

Not a criticism, but an admission that I hate to admit that perhaps the greatest coach in NCAA baseball history is getting old.

I saw a post that said he isn't wheelchair bound. More that he's a fall risk.

May very well be the last year he has on earth. Wife passed, he built and sustained lsu baseball, his legacy is sealed. Love what he did for the program.

When they dumped the Powerade on Johnson on the field, Skip was standing in close proximity and some splashed on him, too. He was genuinely thrilled about it.
