We played ragball in the outfield last night of camp.
I hit a HR over right field fence in to the parking lot in front of nicholson drive.
I thought I was the shite. Only deal was if you hit it over the fence you had to go around and get it.
But for a 12 yr old kid, it was fuking worth it.
Those were the days before the intimidator.

Any of you other assholes exp that?
Good times.

Was the freaking shite!! I remember going when I was 8 or 9 years old. We'd play all morning on the LSU football practice fields, then at lunch we'd eat in the Box grandstand. After lunch, there was always some dedicated swimming time at the pool. But, I didn't go to baseball camp to go swimming, so I'd stick around everyday and take ground balls with the prep players on the infield at the Box. Awesome times!!

Great times! Remember the rooster? Ragball was awesome. Made the trip from Sugar Land 3 years in a row. Rained one year so we played "skip says" instead of simon says in the clubhouse. I still have the LSU baseball cards I got that year.

I dropped a ragball bomb off of Lyle Mouton one year. I went twice. Once late 80s, other early 90s, can't remember the exact years.

His son is a junior at U High in Baton Rouge and just committed early to LSU for 2010 basebal signing class.

In 90 or 91 i did a fall ball league run by bertman. one night a week at Skip Bertman's grandslam batting cages where current players tought variuos skills. then on a second night during the week we practiced with our team

We even took a couple of trips to the box and ran bases ect.

Had a game every saturday.

hell yeah went 3 times and loved it. so many stories....

one memory was batting of of scott williamson, at alex box, when he was a soph. in high school and they clocked him at 87. he struck me out in 3 pitches and the coaches promptly called skip down to the field.

skip pulled him aside and asked if his parents would be picking him up at the end of camp
